Unwind in Turmeric: The many benefits of our new colourway.

There is much to love about the golden complexion known to elevate mind, body and now, style. New core collection, Unwind applies the powerful colourway to clean, classic silhouettes with a nod to androgyny. But the love affair doesn't end here.

From interiors to cooking, we can't get enough of the colour of ancient remedy. They say turmeric may just be the most effective nutritional supplement in existence. So here is one of our favourite recipes at Maurie + Eve - a warm, welcoming drink soothing for the soul. Sit back in your Indus Kimono Set, unwind and revive.

Ayurvedic Ginger and Turmeric Spiced Chai by Omsai Ayurveda

Ingredients:

1 ½ cups of boiled water
1 ½ cups of milk of choice
1 tblsp of grated ginger depending on how spicy you like it to be
1 tsp of grated turmeric
6 green cardamom pods lightly crushed
2 black cardamom pods lightly crushed
5 to 6 cloves
10 black peppercorns
3 star anise
1 cinnamon stick
1 tsp of fennel seeds
½ tsp of ajwain seeds (optional)
1 teabag of choice, I like rooibos at night or if I’m sharing with my son but you may also like dandelion or black tea
2 tsp of rapadura or coconut sugar depending on your personal preference

Method:

Add all spices to the boiled water and simmer for 5 to 10 mins till the aroma of the spices and ginger are up.

Add 1 tea bag or 2 tsps of your favourite loose-leaf tea and milk together and let simmer on low heat for another 5 to 10 mins so the milk reaches a gentle boil

Add sugar depending on personal preference and strain into 2 cups and enjoy!
