Hello Everyone,

Happy Monday.
It's Kel here.

We've just had a beautiful sunny weekend up here in the Northern Rivers, and it felt like the right moment to sit down and give you a little insight into what's been going on over here, and what's coming. Mostly from a founder's perspective: what the first 7 months of 2026 have actually been like, and how I've moved through them.

Come August, everyone says the same thing: where has the year gone. But mine hasn't gone anywhere. It's been slow.

Stressful in patches. And more spacious than any year I can remember. Less about power, and a lot more about presence.

You may or may not have noticed, but back in March, I made the decision to pause on all new collections.

This came from a very personal place. I felt it was time to step back from the constant cycle of new collections, new ranges, new capsules, new styles. In 25 years, I've never once properly stopped that cycle. It was needed.

I called it the pause when I explained it to my team. A pause on constantly creating, when we already had so many beautiful pieces sitting in the business. From March until now, I haven't designed a new collection.

It felt a little rebellious, honestly. It also felt extremely spacious. And what I didn't expect was that the spaciousness itself is exactly what rebuilt the drive and passion to design again.

Of course I have to design. I have a business, a team, and a season that doesn't wait. But there's a difference between meeting a deadline and actually wanting to. For the first time in a long time, I want to.

I'm sharing this because I think it matters for anyone doing creative work. It's so important to take the time to feel inspired again, rather than just continuing to produce. For me, after 25 years, it had started to feel task-driven. Of course it had.

I wanted to honour where I'm at in my journey as a creative human, and give myself the pause.

And in that pause, I didn't stop being creative. I just stopped making new styles. I started writing a lot more.

I tuned back into my intuition. I got mindful about my energy and who I spent my time with. I did a lot of inner work. I deliberately slowed my calendar down so I could tend to the things that seem insignificant but really weren't. It was time to tidy the house. So much in the business I'd needed to do for a long time. So much in my home. So much within myself.

I went back to my practices and leaned hard into ritual, trusting this pause was building the next evolution of myself and the brand.

Now I'm back in design phase, and I'm feeling inspired. A recent trip to New York (more on that soon) ignited the drive and desire I'd been waiting on. That's the thing about a pause. You don't know what it's for until something lights it up.

I'll start revealing bits as we move into spring and summer, which is where Maurie and Eve really comes to life.

Until then, I hope you enjoy these little snippets from me.

Kel x
