A conversation with Zoe and Jemma, with our founder, Kel.

This journal is an offering on energy, intuition, and the quiet power of coming home to yourself ~ where the patterns we've carried for years are met not with force, but with curiosity, and where trust in your own knowing is recognised as the most radical act of all.

Q+A

Zoe, I’d love to start with you…
What first called you into this work? Where were you before this path, and was there a moment when you realised energy was the language you were meant to work in?

I would say it was my own desire to grow, transform, and evolve that truly drew me into this work. I’ve always had a natural curiosity for the healing arts, and over the past 20 years I’ve explored many different modalities and practices - from Vipassana meditation, osteopathy, and plant medicine, to tantric healing, feminine embodiment, womb healing and kinesiology, among many others. Each one, in its own unique way, has contributed to the foundational knowledge and wisdom I now draw upon in my teaching, facilitation, and creative process.

When I first found kinesiology, something in me just clicked. It felt like discovering a language I already knew how to speak - and in many ways, that was the moment I realised energy was the language I was meant to work in. It gave me a way to understand and work with what I had always intuitively felt.

From that point, there was a clear devotion. I’ve committed my life to mastering the art of energetics through this work.

Over time, through years of practice, refinement, and lived experience, that devotion evolved into what is now Overe® Specialised Kinesiology - a modality I’ve created alongside my business partner, Jemma. It’s a precise, structured, and deeply integrated way of working with energy that reflects both of our approaches and the depth of our combined experience.

It has profoundly changed my life, and it’s an honour to now share it in a way that supports others to create real, lasting change in theirs.

Jemma, for you…

How has your relationship with your intuition evolved since beginning the journey with Overe?

I think coming from a corporate background, you base your decisions on logic, on data, on the analytical mind. And so intuition, even though it was alive in me, it was something I'd constantly override.

And then later I'd go, I knew that. Why didn't I trust that? But I never really had the language for it.

So my relationship with it now is completely different. I trust it as my innate intelligence, my knowing, my compass. And the biggest thing I've learned is that intuition is a muscle. It's a skill. Once you know how to listen, how to tune in, it becomes a superpower.

Especially as I've grown as a practitioner, my multisensory channels have really come online. I can see visions, I can hear guidance, I get these deep hits of inner knowing and feeling. It's been incredible to experience.

And that's exactly why we're so passionate about teaching this. Because it's not reserved for some special few. It's something we all have. You just need to know how to connect with it.

What has been the most unexpected lesson your own healing journey has taught you?

Jem

That we're never truly stuck. That was the big one. Energy is dynamic by nature and one of the laws of energy is that it can change and transform. And because we are energetic beings as much as we are physical, that means we can change and transform too.

Once I really understood that, it shifted the way I approach everything. In the big moments and even the fleeting ones, when you’re having a hard day, just knowing that you can choose something different for yourself - if you want to. It's empowering. It puts the agency back in your hands to truly create the life you want to live.

Zoe

That intense healing phases have the power to lead you directly to your creative power - and once realised, creation begins to lead, with healing becoming a natural byproduct rather than the focus.

What is a wish you hold for women right now?

Zoe

That they remember their innate worth, cultivate a deep and true love for who they are and for life itself, and build a trusting connection with their intuitive nature - fully embodying their innate creative power in how they live and create.

Jem

That they truly know how powerful and magnetic they are. That they know they are enough. And that it's safe to come back to who they really are. To stop performing, stop overcompensating, stop apologising for taking up space. And to actually experience themselves fully.

Because I think so many women are holding onto versions of themselves that aren’t them, it’s conditioning that has built up over years of being everything to everyone. And underneath all of that they are alive, so wise, so magnetic.

That's my wish. That more women get to come home to that.

Zoe …..

And what does it feel like, in your body, when you’re truly in alignment?

For me, true alignment has a pulse of conviction - a felt sense of knowing, a gentle confidence, and a grounded calmness that is undeniable. There’s also an aliveness to it, an ignition that comes with a sense of excitement that can be subtle or expansive. Even when moving through harder terrain or more challenging moments, being in true alignment creates an underlying ease in my body, heart, and mind that I’ve come to trust deeply.

And how do you both navigate moments where you feel overwhelmed or disconnected, what brings you back?

Zoe

I lean on the tools I have. Specialised Kinesiology allows me to connect directly with my energy at a subconscious level, so I can rebalance my system at depth, return to myself in the present moment, and, when needed, reprogram the beliefs and patterns that support my evolution.

Jem

I always come back to my energy. That's my anchor.

Specialised Kinesiology gives me the tools to regulate, to regain clarity, to actually feel myself again so I can take the next step. It's not about pushing through, it's about coming back to centre and then taking that next step.

What do you feel women are most disconnected from right now, and what is the first doorway back to themselves?

I don't want to project onto other women's experiences. But from what I commonly see  in my clients, it's often their own value. Their enoughness.

And when that's missing, it pushes them straight into performance patterns. Achieving, proving, over-functioning. The doorway back, I think, is being willing to question those patterns. To get curious about where they actually came from. Because most of them aren't even ours. They're inherited, conditioned, picked up through societal pressure. And once you start to see these patterns clearly, you can not only work with them, but shift them and step into a new, elevated version of yourself.

Zoe…

Morning person or night owl?

Definitely a night owl - my creative energy comes alive at night. It’s where I receive the gems, the visions, and the guidance that feels most clear and accessible.

Jemma …

Morning movement or evening unwind?

Morning movement, all the way. I love my morning strength session.

I mean, when the alarm goes off at 5.30am, I don't love it. But once I'm there, it's the best. It really sets me up to hold energy work and everything else!

And finally, for someone coming in for their first session, how can they prepare? And what can they expect, without giving too much of the magic away?

Jem

Honestly, there's nothing to prepare. Just come as you are.

The session is ninety minutes. First twenty, we have a conversation. We tune in to what's happening in your life and create the energetic design for the session. Basically, the shift you want, so your system can start reorganising itself around it.

The next fifty minutes is the session itself. You stay fully clothed, lie on a treatment table (or at home in a comfortable position if we’re working online), and your practitioner uses muscle testing as biofeedback to read your energy and identify where the subconscious patterns are ready to shift. Then we use energy psychology, acupressure, somatic techniques to support release and recalibration.

The last twenty minutes is integration. A short debrief, plus practices to take home, because your system keeps recalibrating in the days that follow.

It’s incredibly precise and you genuinely feel different after a session. Most commonly, people feel lighter, happier, more connected.

Want to learn these tools yourself?

Join Jemma and Zoe in their upcoming workshop, Energetics for Life on May 17th, where they're teaching these skills for the first time to non-practitioners.

In this one-day workshop, you'll learn the foundations of energy work, specialised kinesiology, and how to work with your own system to support yourself in your own life.
